PHILOSOPHY
Surrounding young children, aged four and five, with love and warmth, Beginnings provides a rich variety of educational experiences. In a Christ-centered environment, we encourage young children to explore, investigate, solve problems, and build a strong foundation for future learning. We foster friendship, social development, respect, sharing, humor and service.
New Hope's mission is the foundation of this program which means in addition to these academic pursuits, we help kids learn to love God, love each other, and serve the world.
CURRICULUM
In conjunction with the Oregon Early Childhood Foundations, Beginnings develops skills and attitudes that young children will need throughout a lifetime of learning. Our curriculum prepares each child for a smooth transition into the Kindergarten level. We integrate six areas of academic development in order to help each child reach their highest potential: language and literacy; numeracy; social studies; science; aesthetic and creative learning; and social play development. Biblical principles are woven throughout the day.
Class size is 10-14 students with a certified teacher and caring assistant.
