SOS Ministry Servants on Standby ( S.O.S ) is an all-Church email team ready to respond quickly to immediate one-time, non-monetary, needs of the New Hope family and community. In doing so we show the love of Jesus Christ by loving one another and bearing one another's burdens. (Galatians 6:2) The two-part goal of S.O.S is to first assemble email addresses of volunteers who will be on standby to assist as time and ability allow. Secondly, S.O.S has established a process for the New Hope family to call when they have a need. Requesters should call 541-316-0767 or email sosnewhope@gmail.com. As a registered volunteer you will receive an "Alert" email describing a brief description of the need and a contact person for expressing your desire to help. The contact person might have a telephone number to call or email address and if you are in a position to help you will simply reply to the contact person. Once any need is met everyone will receive a "Praise" email notifying you that the need has been met. If you can't help with the specified need, no action is necessary on your part.
