Central Uganda
CCPS is bringing education, spiritual care, clean water, food, and hope to children in one of the poorest regions of Central Uganda.
Founded in 2021 through a step of faith by Carla and Mark Worthington, CCPS has become a life-changing presence for the village of Ilgalaza and the surrounding communities. Their mission is simple yet powerful: to equip vulnerable children with the resources, support, and opportunities they need to build a better future.

Update - May 2026
Construction has officially begun on the new girls dorm at Carla Christian Primary School. This dorm will provide safe housing for up to 50 girls, helping reduce the need for long and often unsafe travel to and from school each day. More than just a building, this project creates greater safety, stability, and opportunity for young girls who are vulnerable to many risks when traveling alone.

Building of the Dorm
Laying the Foundation
Construction is officially underway on the new girls dorm at Carla Christian Primary School in Uganda. This foundation represents more than a building. It’s creating a safer, more secure future for girls who will now have a place to stay on campus.

The Walls Begin to Rise
The corners of the dorm are now up, marking the beginning of the full brick structure taking shape. Work is also underway on the septic system as the team continues building a safe and lasting space for these girls.

Almost Complete
The dorm is quickly coming together with the walls nearly finished and bathrooms soon to be installed. Once the roof is added, this space will soon provide safety, stability, and a place these girls can call home.

$32,000 for 14,000 meals
about Family kitchen
Family Kitchen exists to provide nutritious meals to anyone in need in a safe and caring environment.
What began in 1986 with six women from Trinity Episcopal Church responding to the closure of the local mill has grown into a vital lifeline in our community. Seeing the rising need for free meals, they began serving food—one plate at a time. They were right to respond.
Today, Family Kitchen serves three dinners and five lunches every week right here in Bend. They now average over 12,000 meals each month and rely on more than 450 volunteers who make this work possible.
